yes, dont take it to Audi, there rip off merchants. take it to a local automatic gearbox specialist, they'll fix the problem. audi have produced this gearbox in a terrible state, theyre not bothered though theyre more interested in promoting their R8. Anyway it cost me £ 1400 to fix. let us know...
had it in at audi on friday. they spent 5 hours on it and basically told me that they cant get to the root of the problem just yet because i need to change my catalytic converter because its basically had its day and its throwing up many error codes. luckily they didnt charge me anything but...

i see what you mean because thats exactly what its doing. well usually the revs flare more in the lower gears 1st, 2nd and 3rd. once im upto 4th, 5th and 6th its hardly noticable. when i put it into tiptronic its harsh when changing in the lower gears again and it tends to react late and then...
ive been really busy and ive not had chance to get it sorted yet still. im just hoping that this oil change will do it. i was worried about the gearbox being knackered but to think its fine when its first started to then playing up once its warm makes me think that the oil is of poor quality and...
i think that guy at vagbolton was more interested about taking my money rather than getting my car sorted. ive got my mate to do the oil and filter change. il let you know how i get on with it
