Bit of a strange one this....my tailgate/boot door seems to slam shut instead of closing softly....its a bit worrying as there's a chance the rear window will smash one day. I was thinking it may be the raisers (or what ever they are called) that have had it. Would replacing them do anything...

I've been going through the threads on how to fix this and found that the pipe had come off in panel behind the airbox. I reconnected it but still nothing. I've checked for leaks in all the ususal spots but nothing. I then tried disconnecting it at the same point again (behind the air box) and...

thanks for the input guys, lots to think about. I've given up on the hybrid idea as I can see lots going wrong in the future (gearbox etc...) so kinda leaning towards a quattro now either the 2.0T/tdi or 2.5tdi doesn't seem to many quattro's in the diesels at the moment though? Only thing...

If I was to buy an A4 it would be the B6.....190bhp or maybe a 2.0T but the 330 diesel also sounds very appealing. A remap sees close to 250 bhp with stupid amounts of torque. A R33 GTST skyline also looks interesting but dont fancy the idea of filling up with super unleaded every time.

I had a similar problem not so long ago, was loosing all my coolant over night.... turned out to be the water flange which holds the temp sender. Look for coolant leaking around that area when the engines warm. Should be able to smell it aswell. Cheap and easy fix. Not a drop of coolant lost...

just had the g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch kit fitted. You won't be disappointed. Flywheel and bolts cost me about £115 from skoda and £70 for the clutch kit from GSF.
