Cheers.....I hear a few people have had the crank sensor go, so maybe thats it. Funny thing is I've driven today and the epc light hasnt come on but the engine management light is still on. Any idea how much for a crank sensor? and how easy to change???

Hello, my other half has a A6 1.8T auto S reg so it is an old one. For the past 2 weeks she has got a problem that we cant work out. No warning lights are showing, no smoke from the pipes, but after driving the car for say 20 mins if you pull up at a roundabout and stop or almost stop it starts...

As you had it looked at by an Audi Specialist I would have thought he would try VAGCOM, or even suggest the convenience module under passenger seat. This contains the "brain" for the alarm, and could be the cause as even water can get into it. Worth checking even if a ****** to get to, some say...
