Alright, so having done further research, its possible the oil pressure issue can also be down to worn engine components, cams bearings etc, when i was changing the tensioner i noticed the intake cam had some really bad worn cam bearigs, the acutall cam itself on one section had a dip in it...

So, the saga continues, fix one problem, another pops up. went for a drive, 30 minutes in after engine is warmed up i get oil pressure light and noise from the cams, stoped and waited for Mr AA man to tow me home. When i had a garage check it recently they said pressure is great when cold but...

Well, all done, started up straight away nice and quiet and running smooth :D please ive done it my self, brought all the bits for £250 quid and was quoted 800 quid by garages. Having a beer. got a slight missfire at low revs when foot to floor, probably a spark plug issue as it was happening...

Ive got the new tensioner seated and bolted, cam shaft back in correct position, now chain is loose, but when i tighten up the camshaft the chain goes really tight before ive even take the tensioner tool out, is this normal?

So garage confirmed yesterday its cam chain tensioner, dont fancy paying £800 quid so brought the parts and going to have a crack at it my self. its actually got alot worse and allot louder, even felt a bit of a missfire when driving so things arent good, gonna get cover off and see whats up...

The engine is an AWT that i can see stamped on the head. the breaks isnt a clunking noise, cant realy explain it, sounds like a groaning noise if that make sense. annoying that i didnt take it on a longer drive to let the engine heat up, i feel stupid lol.
