Some people want it for safety. Some for the money. Me? Both of those, and plus I'm just sick of cycling to work and looking at the 1.6 ton paperweight sitting in the garage that I dare not move for fear of ending up rear-ended and/or coming home on a tow-truck! :unsure:

I would be inclined to say that if nothing comes of the VOSA investigation, maybe somebody in the UK could contact a solicitor to whom we could all send a not-huge-ammount-of-money to take a group action under the sale of goods act.

Hey. Just joined up to report that I've also had this problem a week ago. Was driving down a tree-lined country road in Southern France - so there was nowhere to pull over! Managed to coast in neutral to a farm entrance and eventually get picked up by a tow truck, €1000 repair at the nearest...
