    Exactly my point lol. Of course all engines have weak points but the 3.2 is a REALLY expensive weak point. Timing belt on my current car was £350 from the dealer, no where near £2500!

    The problem I'm having is I know I could find one with chains with no rattles, but they could start rattling soon after buying, not saying they will let go, but rattling alone is not good. Then if I do need to change them it's going to be expensive :(

    I think you miss understood what I was asking :( I know yours is DSG so for you to use sport mode you just put the transmisson into the one below drive? But if you have a full manual S Line, how would you put it into sport mode because all you have is 6 manual gears?

    What year is your A3? I wasn't aware there was a sport mode? Never seen any seller advertising their A3 by stating it has sport mode?
