Exactly my point lol. Of course all engines have weak points but the 3.2 is a REALLY expensive weak point.
Timing belt on my current car was £350 from the dealer, no where near £2500!
The problem I'm having is I know I could find one with chains with no rattles, but they could start rattling soon after buying, not saying they will let go, but rattling alone is not good. Then if I do need to change them it's going to be expensive :(

I know yours is DSG so for you to use sport mode you just put the transmisson into the one below drive? But if you have a full manual S Line, how would you put it into sport mode because all you have is 6 manual gears?
Has anyone with a full manual 3.2 had this problem solved or only people with DSG? There was a reply earlier in this thread from someone with a full manual who couldn't get the hesitant update because the dealer told him the ECU was too old.
