I see what your saying but the last thing i want is the roof to fail again me and for it to be stuck open which is what has just happened to me, no good if its raining or parked in a dubious place...
Ive looked for a second hand switch but to no avail, if i could find one i'd give it a bash but...
i did think of that but the switches are prone to failure on the pre face lift S3 (was revised on post face lift) so i dont want to get a secondhand one and then have to replace it again at a later date and if im gonna get a new second switch and motor i may as well buy new parts for the little...
Just forked out nearly £900 for a major service on the S3, discs etc. new anti roll bar and a few other odds and sods for the car. Now the sunroof switch is knackered and the sunroof doesnt close properly, or not where it should do anyway, this isnt to costly or at least i thought it wouldnt be...
It looks like my secondment up North is going to be cut short and its looking very likely i will have to go back to working out of the London office and if this is the case i will be commuting up north every wk end to see my girlfriend so i will be chopping in my S3 and newly brought 2.0td...
Im liking that chris, very nice......... My BM was only meant for work but I cant get enough of it now, the 2.0td has rather alot of torque aswell and its so easy/relaxing to drive. I havent used the S3 since buying the BM..:think:
