So it's now costing you £25k? It's your money but personally I think it's ridiculous to spend near enough £5k on options on a £20k car... Typical Audi though... specs are bare and options add up to ALOT! You are getting on for S3 money there.

Love the 5pot sound. Dad used to have a Quattro that he tuned up.... sounded lurrvely. As far as I know that engine went to Volvo and subsequently ended up in the ST... and probably just an evolution which is now in the RS.

They remap the DSG software. There is a company in the US that does it. You are right DSG is a fantastic gearbox 95% of the time, around town and stuff it's a godsend. I just missed having the involvement myself but it's really only worth going manual if you have a decent engine and gearbox...

Really don't like the new MK6 shape. It's definitely taking a step backwards. The interior is much nicer but still doesn't compare to the Audi in terms of quality if you ask me. If you ask me this new car is just a drop in replacement for the R32 which is quite good on power but always...

I don't know about the tiptronic because I'd never drive such tosh :) but the DSG box will still change gear even when in sport/manual mode. With the remap it's supposed to stay in the gear you want. The DSG box is great 95% of the time. It's that 5% that makes me stick with manual. There is...

doesn't sound too bad at full chat if you are behind it but it's more of a nondescript loud engine sound than the sweet sweet sound of a v :) if your not behind it then you get that funny whooshing sound that you hear from inside as if it's about to take off :)

lol? Anyone that thinks the 2.0T lump sounds sweet is deaf, dumb or a combination of both. I've got an S3 on order so don't think I'm mindlessly bashing... it's just a fact that it sounds like crap... goes like stink though so it isn't all bad :)

I've had one and I drove it like I stole it... with the owners permission of course. It's an amazing car... don't get me wrong but it's just missing a bit of edge. It feels too clinical to me, not raw enough, not loud enough, generally it just insulates you too much.

The launch control is a bit naff in all of the DSG boxes I've tested. You wack it into sport and disable the ESP. Then just hold your foot on the brake and put the pedal to the floor. It will hold the RPM at a specific point and then you let go of the brake... at which point it hangs for what...

Unfortunately Audi don't know how to make a raw performance car....not since the Quattro anyway :) They are just too polished and refined and as a result you lose some excitement.... Something I might expect in their S models but RS? Really expect a bit more honestly though I imagine the TTRS...

They look absolutely stunning at night under lights with xenons glowing.... but on a typical dull English day... dull as dishwater. Almost went for Ibis myself... that is until I saw Sprint Blue :)

LOL of the day! Not being funny but where I live... East London... The Police have got better things to do than cracking down on illegal plates or anything else like that. I tint my windows a bit below legal and I'll be going for some of these german plates when my S3 turns up but again...
