Mine's the same. My friend was an Audi salesman, so is good for honest advice. He said that if you drive them hard you'll get this vibration, but if you drive smoothly for a while, it'll smooth out again. They used to see it a lot. Can't tell you if that works, as I can't help but drive it hard :-)

Ok - I give up... I've searched and searched and searched and then searched some more. I even tried asking Audi (I know, stupid idea...). How do I tell if my Bose system is half or fully amplified? It's a 55 plate A3, (8P) with Symphony II double DIN (6-CD Changer). Any help or pointing...

Does your adaptor do anything to the signal? i.e. is it just cables to "line up" pins or is there a box if tricks to convert the signal?

Mine does this too on start up - the guys at work keep winding me up that I was sold a diesel with different badges... The other 2.0T FSI's I test drove did it as well; but it still bugs me...

You could change the grill for an S-Line one (either normal or the black optic one). The vertical bars are prominent (stick out furthest), where your grill's horizontal bars are prominent. Subtle difference, if you go for the standard "chrome surround" one, but I still really prefer it.

Check the body kit on the S-Line; around that time they went from being optional extras, to being standard. So you can find 2005 S-Lines with the same body as the Sport. It took me ages to find my 55 S-Line with an actual S-Line kit. I think it was sometime in 2006 that it became standard, so...

I had to look twice as I thought it was the standard grill for a minute. Very subtle. :Flush:

The silver ones do look very good with the black grill - as long as you keep the Audi badge chrome; it picks up on the silver nicely. I think with your wheels, silver is def the way to go. I've always liked the silver rails on estate A4's, but I'm not keen on the way it "lengthens" my A3...

And I'm getting black ones :-) Now I've done the grill and splitter, can't wait to get the rails done too (although the silver ones do look very cool, I'm just going for stealthy ;-) Let's see what's involved in the DIY swap...

Thanks guys! I took a long time over it, trying to bend it to the right curve. The more I look at it, the more I like it - it really does add a more aggresive look to the front. I had an old style Cupra splitter on my MKII golf, years ago - Seat obviously have the best splitter designers...

same here! Lost a lot of skin from my knuckles too... A tip for anyone doing this - after you remove the three big screws at the top of the grill, you can screw them back in, so that they hold the bumper in place (but not the grill). Holds it firm, whilst you are pulling on the grill and...

Rats - knew I should have asked first! Took me about an hour to realise they were metal - I just thought I hadn't got the nack of popping them through!
