Damn, my secret is out
So far so good on the drying out front - everything still works, no bad smells (yet). The leather needs a good creaming (no obvious jokes there!) but...
I left my S3 on the drive Friday night (normally in the garage). Anyway, got up Saturday and looked out and the windows were down - I must have somehow lent on the key in my pocket during the evening and managed to open them. It had been raining all night so the car was soaked (about 1cm...
I've had rattling from the passenger head rest. Took me ages to figure out what it was. Try holding the head rest when it rattles and it should stop if it's that. I haven't managed to completely eradicate it yet.
Did mine last weekend. Clutch was the hardest, one of the corners didn't want to go on. Keep wiggling, it will eventually. Hot (and then very hot) water definately helped.
I got the RHD acc cover for my 02 S3 and it fitted no problem - the easiest of the 3.

Priory Island just up from QMC on way out of Notts. There's one in Beeston as well which was always pretty good.
Should've seen it coming though - how else are they going to raise the revenue to pay for the tram? It goes through all the scuzzy areas of Nottingham, so the fares will have to be subsidised from our speeding fines.
Had heart failure when I read the original note as I had a very good run on...

Could you tell me more about this 'blip' in power?
I too tried...
I had the five hour trial a while back and the only problems I had were an occasional blip in power which basically was more pronounced than what I had experienced (and tried to ignore) with the stock mode. I still haven't booked it in to have that fixed.
Other than that, the OEM brakes were...
I went to the John Fox launch last night. No piccies (digicam arrives tomorrow) unfortunately. They had two TDi's with various extras.
They look at lot better in the flesh than all the magazine photos I've seen - but the back end reminds me of a Leon. Interior has a more modern feel with...
I got Virgin Broadband which is essentially the BT service but 3 quid a month cheaper. Plus you can cancel anytime with a months notice as opposed to the 12 month lock-in that most providers force you to sign up to.
So far it's been superb - would recomend giving it a look.
Can't remember reading anywhere what extra strain the extra power puts on the rest of the car - the engine block is probably OK, but what about things like the clutch and turbo? Obviously clutch life depends on driving style, but with the extra torque isn't it going to burn out a lot earlier...
My last two cars I had no end of trouble getting the discs off. All depends on if the little phillips screw loosens or not. If not you can always drill the head off - the screw isn't needed - it just holds it in place when the wheel is off.
