    '99 S3 - New Owner - Boost Issues / Power Loss

Yep. Order a cable of eBay (around £10) and software for ross tech. It's limited in functionality but can give you faults codes for the whole engine. You can also clear them. For the cost I recommend anyone if a vag car to get one.

Temperature needle light flashing - dodgy earth?

Hi guys My s3 has just developed a weird fault, the temperature needle flashes, like it has a dodgy earth or connection. It's only the temperature needle that's effected and no fault codes across the engine or instruments. Anyone else has this issue before?

    headlight restoration?

I recently did this my self. Used the 3M kit. A little expensive for sand paper however the drill attachment and number of pads made it easy. http://www.amazon.com/3M-39008-Headlight-Restoration-System/dp/B001AIZ5HY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368829935&sr=8-1&keywords=headlight+restoration+kit...

JR vs BMC cda induction kit

Slightly better in performance, it is louder. But at £15 I wouldn't hesitate doing it again.

Front Bumper Replacement and change of wheels

Note: when popping bumper out try to apply some heat first. It will be easier and less of risk of it cracking.

Front Bumper Replacement and change of wheels

Hey. That seems a little pricy to me. (Depends on your area - I'm in Plymouth) I got quoted for a repair to my front bumper (mainly filler job not major) respray of both wings and bonnet to match it all in (bonnet has dent and heavy fading) for £400-£450 from a highly recommended bodyshop...

    Dans S3 8L

Progress since last post. Fixed a annoying issue with the N75 valve. Had a smoke test - no boost leaks :) Today I restored my headlights. The headlights were very bad - almost MOT failure. Spent the day sanding and polishing. Very happy with the results. I have also sprayed the chrome...

    Most likely suspect!

I had something similar - turned out being the antiroll bar droplinks causing it. (Failed MOT on it) Edit - For me - The FK ones that came with the lowering Kit were sh*t quality and only lasted 18 months

Intake Air Tempature reading too high - MAF?

Ok. Looking at the symptoms of IAT Sensor thou - struggling to start, and less power than normal, (poorer than normal mpg) does seem plausible. Unless any other suggestions?

Intake Air Tempature reading too high - MAF?

Intake Air Tempature reading too high - MAF?

Thanks guys, my cars not mapped. It wasn't sat for very long and didn't change when revved. Would you recommend changing that sensor then? Does anyone have a image of where it is located? Thanks Dan

Intake Air Tempature reading too high - MAF?

Hi, My S3 hasn't been running as it should so took it a local garage where we ran some test. Smoke test showed no boost leaks :) However when reading engine statistics it showed the air intake temperature as 58c. As much as i wished it was that warm it clearly isn't. Does the S3 have a...
