    I do my own oil changes using genuine filters and recommended oils,usually costs about £85 for materials.Hardest part for me is removing and replacing the undertray with the car on ramps.

    Whether on Summer tyres (Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31) or Winter tyres (Kumho I-zen KW27) I can make the back end step out.Car is B7 A4 3.0 tdi S-line tiptronic quattro with RS4 arb and re-mapped to 298bhp and 391lbft.

    I've no idea about rates for changing springs,but it's something I wouldn't attempt nowadays without hydraulic spring compressors.You could try Brake Parts in Lancashire for new discs.

    Make sure your car has a DPF fitted.Not sure the V6 has one,but may depend on year.

    I'm saying that the decision is yours to make.1mm is difference over diameter.Caliper position is fixed so difference is halved in effect.Check current set-up for clearance of disc rim through caliper,how close it comes to pad locating pins,if you're happy then go back to first sentence.

    What are 1LA discs? Height should be distance from hub to rim of disc. 47 mm seems more like depth of hub from wheel mounting flange(?) to disc.

    I think diesels don't need or can use a dump valve.Replace the standard panel filter with a K&N or similar
