Well i've got an Audi A6 which has a failed oil pump, broken turbo and likely engine damage. Looking for options really, the 2.0TDI engines are available but just looking whether there are any cheaper lumps that will drop in easier, is it only audi codes from 2005 onwards that will fit...

cfoster, Is this something you do for a living? or just for your own motors? How difficult is it to do? Id love to do mine in white, is it realistic to think you could get a decent finish? Cheers

Thanks for the replies.. I havent managed to get it open yet, but I took the back seats out and atleast managed to remove stuff from the boot that I needed! Will have to look at fixing it next weekend :ermm:

Hello, Does anyone have any ideas on how to open my boot? The handle wont work and when you put the key into the lock on the boot it wont turn, does this mean its deadlocked? Any help would be fantastic as I could really do with getting in there!:banghead:

Hi, Does anyone know how much a B5 1997 would be worth if you broke it down and sold as parts? Its a TDI, 160k on the clock, with a knackered gearbox. Has aftemarket front lights and lowered springs and shocks that are faily new which would add a little I guess. Has anyone here done it and...

Aah, I was struggling to get to the top arm bolts due to lack of a second flat 16mm spanner, So I decided to take on the double ball joint nut and bolt and it ****** snapped! brilliant...

Dont know if its of any interest to anyone, (was thinking Sinic as it looks as though he has the same wheels) Ive just sprayed the 17" sport wheels in BMW Sparking graphite and they came out ok, probably slightly darker than I was going for. As already said, I think black wheels can be abit too...

Hi, Has anyone got the lower section of a front bumper going spare? following an Sline upgrade perhaps? Mine has been broken off at some point and hasnt been fitted particularly well so could do with changing, and was hoping to get it painted as well. Thanks

Hi Jonny, Yer the tyres on mine were 50s aswell. Had to put spacers and longer bolts as they rubbed when i lowered it. However ive actually just taken those wheels off and put them on my B6. If you are wanting the spacers and bolts make me an offer!
