Am just wondering if anyone had suggestions on possible fixes, current issue is that whilst all the other seat options work (lumbar, up & down etc) I cannot get the seat back to go forward, it goes back fine but does not move forward, I go to hit the switch and nothing at all, no noise, grinding...

When I queried about going 4x4 for my mk1 quotes were around 6k just for the labour on the 4x4 conversion. As above for that kind of money buying a Rallye or Syncro could make sense. If you like mk1's then maybe 20vt one and see if you will use it in anger enough to warrant the cost of going...

The ones I bought from Car Parts Online, Spare Parts, Motor Spares from CarParts4Less.co.uk which I believe is an ECP website were heated and around £20 a side.

Pretty much as above, I am trying to find new wing mirror glass for a 2000 pre-facelift S3 but having ordered new glass from both eurocarparts and also eBay they are both too big to fit into the housing as per the pic, I am now wondering if at some point in the cars past different wing mirrors...
