Seriously though, this is my 3rd AUDI Diesel (2 x A4's) this does smell more than it should do!

hi, i have at 2.0tdi 170 and found out that my DPF has been 'gutted' although i didnt know it when i bought it. The car does give off a real exhaust smell which you can smell when idle aswell as the exhaust rear pipe blacking up within the week. My EMU and Turbo were replaced last year at AUDI...

my a3 xenon drivers side flickers for first 5 minutes also, have looked at history the control unit was changed previously on my car!!! did the change of bulbs/control unit work??

got my car back yesterday with the new Turbo and 4 new injectors and wiring loom £635 in the end which was a small victory, and its running fine.....but a new shocker for me to deal with, apparently the DPF filter has been removed from his housing, but i wasnt informed of this when i purchased...

Took in this morning, and there also going to replace the injectors and wiring loom whilst there doing the Turbo due to a multitude of injectors failures with this particular engine model !!!! Anyone else had the injector snag? Technician told me there just heading the problem off at the pass!

Yep got back in touch with them And booked it in for tomorrow!!

update to above, Stirling Audi rang me to say that as i am a loyal customer and dont want me to go elsewhere they have offered to do the job for £690 all in, a discount on the part and they'll cover the labour (2 years warranty)....is that a deal ?

hi guys, not posted here before just like reading and looking at all the cars. Tonight my 06 A4 2.0tdi sline BROKE down. RAC recovered it to my house as the gearbox has collapsed (rac guys words). There was a loud whine following by what sounded like someone shaking a bag of spanners...
