Thought they might, the rear ones would probably be ok is it just the weight of the front end that would be an issue on the v6 compared to the 1.8?

Are the lowering springs the same on all front wheel drive A4 B5's? A mate has some 40mm lowering springs off a B5 1.8t will they be ok on my B5 2.4 V6? Thanks

Yeah i no it would be better but money is a little tight at the moment, the company that make the springs I'm getting also do the shocks to suet so I could get the shocks at a later date if needed. Thanks for your reply.

Hi, will the center section (silencer) off a 98 2.6 v6 fit directly on to a 98 2.4 v6, are they the same? I'm struggling to find any listings for the 2.4 but plenty for 2.6 and 2.8. Thanks in advance.

The symptoms are; Blue smoke on cold start. A lot of gray/blue smoke on idle once hot. When driving it's had to tell but it dosnt seem to smoking as much as on idle. The car runs and drives smooth and sounds smooth and quiet under the bonnet, iv not had the car long enough to tell if it's...

Just to clarify it's the valve oil seals, apparently they go hard and are unable to seal. Any ideas?

Right just been to a garage talking about the smoking problem I have with my 2.4 v6 R reg, and with out any hesitation he said it would be the oil stem seals with everything I described. Now is this a major problem? How big of a job is it and what would I expect to pay to get it put right...

Ooof!:faint: I only paid £850 for the car! Is it a job i could tackle my self? I do all other work on my own cars but never tackled a cam belt, i know its bumper and radiator off plus a few other bits and bobs just to get to the aux belt but im ok with that, dose anyone do there own? Cheers.
