Hi chaps, sorry to bump an old thread, but can anyone offer any advice to an amateur mechanic! I have been away for a few weeks but decided to have another go at the car today. Engine mount bolts removed, engine jacked up to create more room but I still cant really see or get to the two bolts...

Right, made some (slow) progress on mine today. Got all the (16) sump bolts off and a few other large bolts which looked like they needed to come off. Had to loosen the engine mounts and remove the air con pipe to do this. Also remove oil sensor from bottom of sump and oil pipe on drivers...

Thanks Chris, there is going to be a lot to do but the more hints and tips I can get the better. If I take it on myself I will approach it slowly and post lots of pics, and probably ask for lots of advice! Loving your Imola Yellow DTM by the way, never seen one in that colour.

Hi Chaps Signed up yesterday, have a 2006 A4 Avant 2.0T FSI Quattro S-Line Special Edition - 220 bhp - BUL engine code. Currently off the road due to oil pressure issue! Previously owned a 1994 Audi Coupe 2.8e Quattro - one of only 120 in RHD I believe. Probably shouldn't have sold that one...
