I’m sorry the instructions I’ve got are a combination of the copyrighted k-electronic instructions and lots of emails with their tech support.
If you’ve not already bought the loom you could get it from k-electronic (or Kauftec etc) and get the instructions for a diesel saloon and their...
I fitted mine using the k-electronic loom and coding dongle.
It was not straight forward, the instructions didn’t quite work - the pins you had to connect too were different on a RHD car to the LHD instructions. Also I thought I’d be able to code it using my VCDS but I could not do the camera...
Assuming the loom has the same connections as mine you need to connect the following:
Parking Brake connector:
- Solder Grey to the cable in Pin 5
- Solder Brown to the cable in Pin 6
There are two 73 pin connectors in the passenger footwell - just above the fuses. 73A is nearest the rear -...
No the MMI remains based on the mapping data; the DIS is based on the camera.
I’m not sure if this is how it works on the factory coded cars but I like having both. I can interpret based on my understanding of the road.
I did my non-VC version last night and I’ve tried it breifly this morning.
Speed limits from the signs are displayed in the DIS. The MMI still shows the speedlimits from the mapping data.
The only odd thing I have noticed is it has picked up a couple of non existent 20 zones.
Hopefully...
Mine was from k-electronic. A bit cheaper although the weak £ has not helped.

Running the loom was relatively straight forward:
Removed the boot trim to fit the camera and to run the cables to the LHS compartment where I picked up the earth and power;
Ran the loom up the C pillar to get into the passenger compartment;
Ran one section to the controller under the rear...
Mine is a:
Sealey TP69 (10060) Vacuum Oil and Fluid Extractor Manual 6.5 litre
I've used it for three or four years without any problems. It cost about £55.
I did it with a siphonic oil extractor - via the tube that would have the dip stick.
The filter is done from the top too.
The hardest thing was finding the right oil - Castrol Edge Professional LL IV FE 0W-20 VW 508 00 / 509 00.
I bought mine from a German website.
