I've just checked this on my A3.
The efficiency program is accessed by pressing the reset button to flick through Current Trip (1) and Average Trip (2).
You're looking for the fuel nozzle icon. Then just use the rocker switch as usual and it will flick through the Efficiency program options...
A hair dryer should do the trick! Just need to apply localized heat to soften the adhesives. As for prising off, try a smooth thin plastic card.
Might sound daft but wd40 will remove any residue. However, I'm sure the detailers here will have a mild stroke by my suggesting that! It's harmless...
Only if you buy Shell v-power or BP Ultimate et al. They cost more pennies per litre. I'll be the first to admit it's swings and roundabouts regarding price though.
However, I've used this stuff for yonks and it's noticable how much it improves mpg and like the op says, less smoke too.
This...
Hi Cubby
I'm assuming it's a diesel (you mention a DPF.) What is your current additive?
I use Millers Power Eco Max - Double dose on every third fill up (supermarket fuel.)
This is stuff is good to use with DPF equipped engines.
Hope this helps......................

I think this sums up my feelings precisely! Good to know that somes miles are possible after 0 display on the DIS.
I can also confirm the A3-S3 pdf states 60 litre tanks.
What a great place this is. Thanks for all the very useful feedback and advice.
140 sline!! Much nicer look and better ride imo.
However, if you prefer a softer ride, the 140 sport could be the way to go. Plus by the looks of your options you could get 3K worth of extra's if you went the sport way. Bi-xenon adaptive lights, cruise control a must! Not overly taken with the...
Optimistic, thats me! :arco:lol
Yeah, you're probably right. My car went beep about 430 miles, managed an extra 50 miles to the final line.
My daily commute is about 40 miles round trip. Mix of local roads and Dual Carriageways.
I don't want to run it dry, ever. Apologies for the misunderstanding. I was just wondering what sort of mileage I could get.
I would like to think that 500 miles is possible if driven with a lighter foot.
Thanks Mike.
I reckon I could've got more out of my tank. I bottled it if truth be told!!
The Audi site says 60 ltr's approx. If this is the case, then I reckon I had about 7 ltrs left (approx 1.54gallons). Based on 46mpg urban thats about an extra 60ish miles before running out.
Have I worked...
Hi Guys/Girls :salute:
Can anyone confirm that the A3 3door Quattro has a 60 ltr tank?
The needle was showing on the last red line and DIS was saying 10 miles left, so I assumed nearly empty. Say 58 ltrs???
However, when I filled up with diesel tonight it took 52 ltrs?? Is the needle/sender...
I was just wondering the same tbh. My understanding of TPMS is that it has a physical part as well as software? e.g Sensors, wiring loom and dashboard switch? I do regret not choosing this option. eh well.
Not sure was High Beam assist offers either.
Can you explain any further please Cruiser...
Nice to read about peeps finally getting their cars delivered :)
I must make more effort and get some proper photos posted like Cruiser has...........great colour! Still, Volcano red is nicer! lol
Sex-wee :puke2: so fu*king funny!
What a lovely looking motor dude! Nice to read about the software mods you have done.
TBH, I would like to do those on mine. However, being a lease car not sure if it should/can be done without affecting warranties or agreements etc.
Anyway, have safe and trouble free...
Hi
I'm also 6'4". TBH, I find the sport seats (standard leather & fabric) in my A3, very comfortable. I recall the leather option ones in the SE version of the A3 were very uncomfortable. The leather shiny surface made you feel like u were sliding around and constantly needing to adjust...
Hi
I'm new to the AWD Quattro. All I can say is, WOW! :yum:
The recent wet weather hasn't been a problem for it at all. No spinning at the lights or anything..............mental, mental!!! Chicken Oriental!!! You just feel so confident, which means you're able to relax and enjoy the ride!
