    Replacing front grill

    I was thinking of just doing everything except the chrome. I have experienced the flaking off the paint when I have done previous autos, so I do not intend on painting the chrome. I am not sure if I will experience flaking on the painted surfaces. What do you think?

    Replacing front grill

    I have noticed a lot of people replacing the front grill with one that is all blacked out. What I was wondering is why don't people just repaint instead of going the expensive route?

    For the Love of Audi (A3 San Francisco Driving Vacation)

    Do you think you might have a problem not having a front license plate? I've driven my cars since '68 without one but I got one outside the International Auto show last year. So I am careful not to park outside at a metered spot.

    Here's a silly question for you. Why buy a new grill when you could just have the original grill repainted? The answer is probably quite obvious but I am new at this. Thanks
