    Biggest Surprise

Ha, I feel the same about mine. Being in dynamic barely makes a difference to be honest. The biggest surprise to me, is that even with a bit of playful driving, I still seem to be pulling pretty reasonable mpg.

First thoughts after one day with my A3 S Line Manual Cabriolet 1.4 TFSI

Just a little update from my usage. Broke over 1000 miles this weekend and have been using the nav screen a lot even when not routing (using google earth). Journeys have been pretty reasonable distances (so not just running around the same areas). Onboard comp says ~200mb used combined up and...

I didn't try NTFS, I read before that it didn't work. exFat threw up an unreadable message when trying to access the drive in the car. FAT32 works perfectly and is what I've been using. You can format drives larger than 32gb using fat32 fine. The only issue you could come across is a 4gb single...

Blimey, a manual with worthwhile information! Maybe I should've given it a read. I'd have played around the same regardless anyway. Always worth checking to see how far you can push things. I'm still going to try and find various ways around the limit. Doubtful I'll be successful, but we'll see...

You should get it included with your phone compatible cable when you pick your car up. Dealer really shouldn't charge for these, I'm sure most just throw them in on pick up like mine did. I got a pack with a lightning and usb adapter. I presume usb comes with all packs, but can't say for sure.

Sorry I haven't forgotten this thread, haven't had much time to play with the car much recently. This is what I've found so far though: I can say that I've had no troubles with running a 1tb hard disk (this one). I chose this one as it had a relatively low power draw. It is snappy with the...

Sort of cross post with the A3/S3 pic thread, but here's my little car I picked up last week. Already done 400 miles since Thurs evening, which I don't think is too bad considering I don't drive to work! Really happy, glad I added the light pack as recommended here after my initial spec...

Post Pics Of Your A3/S3 8v In Here

I may be biased as I chose it, but I think it just makes the interior 100 times more special and unique. Really adds a bit of class and contrast to the vast black inside and red outside. I had lots of comments even from the guys in the dealership (I guess most go for black). I love how the black...

I have tried to take into account the delay from usage and what's displayed on the three website too. I'll keep a closer eye on it and see how it fares

Phil, have you checked your mobile account to see if the mmi is corresponding with what is actually being used? Mine was reading quite high like yours, but looking at my account usage online it's almost a 10th of what the car is saying.

S3 or Golf R or even an S1?

Isn't the B&O alone over £6k or something crazy like that? (that goes for the standard A6 too I think) Do love the pop up tweeters though, and I hear it's proper reference level gear. But still...

Feedback from those with S3s now

Ouch! I hope you find who did it. Shame not everyone has the common decency to leave their information after doing such things. Was Morrisons happy to oblige providing the footage from CCTV? I've heard that can be a pain in the ****.

Bah, don't be so soft. If hard drives were that weak people's laptops and old school ipods would be failing left right and centre (they live in cars as much as a dedicated drive would). SSDs are great, I've got a few in some of my machines at home, but completely overkill for a few media files...
