Just to let you all know what's happening so far,local garage released hydrolic screw in boot and undone manulally roof from top brackets with t key..then he lowed roof my hand and disconnected battery and left for an hour.when he turned screw clockwise to tighten power hood rose perfect ally up...

Like the chrome trim on the doors...Audi moved badges to wings near Side repeater so it makes it harder to upgrade because the indicators are in the mirrors on latter cars and don't have hole for light so newer cars have the badge and older cars indicators ,unless you change wings.now somebody...

Taken battery off for an hour still same.dash light flashes ten times on start.twisted hydronic screw in boot still same...motors make noise when button pressed but roof des not release.....also when I was a kid Audi meant one thing, that was Quattro... not s line ... S line is for BMW drivers...

Does any body have any information on these power roofs failing..are they the same units as a4 cabs,nobody seems to know where ever I try..can't be a big problem cos the power roof buttons makes a noise thanks

Your right folks going to Audi and getting it sorted let you know outcome..

Somebody told me to disconnect the battery and leave it for a few hours and the ecu might reset the roof sensors,tried it and it isn't worked.. still making motor sounds around windowscreen but not unlocking ...even though the weather is pony it drives me mad knowing that the roof does not go...

That's a good idea ,might try that .car is 3and half years old something you would expect from Audi ...

Went back to to the car wash said they did not power wash the roof,no proof left it with them.. my fella going mad at me for leaving it with them what can you do.any body know good Audi specialists around Manchester area not going to dealers.

My Audi a3 1.8 s/tronic cabriolet roof is driving me nuts,look at other users problem with there a4 cabs disconnecting battery tapping hydro licks in boot checking fuses and the roof still gets stuck just above the windowscreen,had car valeted last week but I don't see how this could of caused...

Hi everyone please help me if anybody can,the roof is stuck in the position just opening above windowscreen and it just stopped working.aa came out gave me the impression that it's just a womens mistake not understanding how it works but it took him ages with the manuel and thankfully closed it...
