Symphony 1 I think (tape and cd) and its in a a3 2.0 tdi s line with Bose. Is that all you need?

I've read a few threads now but am wandering if the connections on the back of the symphony stereo in my car are active regardless of whether they are highlighted on the headunit wiring diagram or not? Basically I am wanting to use the speaker inputs and mute input for a parrot Bluetooth kit...
