    Squeaking front wheel

Yeah the brakes do make a slight squeaking noise when applied even after copper greasing them but that has been constant from when they were first fitted. This noise is when the brakes aren't applied and driving along and just from the offside wheel.

    Squeaking front wheel

Can't remember the exact make of the setup as I don't have it to hand but they are 6 pot calipers and 330mm discs with the standard pads that came with them. The squeaking doesn't occur during the first 5/10 minutes of driving but then appears after that as if it is brought on by heat in...

    Squeaking front wheel

Yeah it does stop when you hit the brakes. I've replaced both front pads recently and inspected the discs for anything rubbing but nothing there either.

    Squeaking front wheel

Has anybody had a similar issue with any of their wheels? I've got a squeaking noise coming from what appears to be the offside front wheel. It's just had its MOT and we couldn't find anything untoward with the bearing or whilst rotating the wheel however when driving the squeak starts to appear...

    Accelerator Pedal vibration/shaking

Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing the accelerator pedal to vibrate and almost a knocking noise from what seems like the offside driveshaft when applying load to the engine? I replaced the driveshafts yesterday so have ruled those out now. It's more evident on the offside as when...

    GT3582R info please

Unitronic :whistle2: I was going to suggest selling you a 1.8t block I have and ALH crank to bore it to a 2.1 but then noticed you were in Dubai. Oh well. As Bill said, GT35 is overkill if you are looking for 400hp, might as well use a GT30 but if you can get a good deal on the GT35 then...

Painting h&r adapter bolts and nuts

Use some etch primer mate as most bolts are galvanised and the paint won't adhere well to the coating. Google Upol Acid 8 etch primer and use some of that.

    18 inch or 19 inch ???

I use a brand called Neuton which I expect most people have never heard of but were recommended by my dad's friend who has been in the industry for most of his life. Pretty certain they are made by Yokohama in their factory. Used them for the past 3/4 years, have outlasted and performed far...

    18 inch or 19 inch ???

I've got 19" mtm's on mine with KW sport suspension and the ride isn't particularly bad. Yeah it is harder than smaller wheels with thicker tyres but certainly isn't bone shattering. I do sometimes want to switch back to a smaller wheel for more comfort and better handling but they suit the car...

My mapping day didn't go as planned

It'd be working its nuts off producing that much power and getting pretty hot in the process. Looking forward to seeing how this setup turns out, should be mental. Good luck with getting it sorted mate.

Removal of the Boot Lock Strip - HOW??

There are two nuts that hold it in place. You need to remove the trim on the back of the boot, disconnect the light/switch connections and you can access the nuts from the inside to remove them and take it off.

    Turbo oil drain sealant

The build finished mid last year Stacey so nothing much to report on it. I find myself wanting to rip it apart again and improve certain aspects etc but ive resisted so far! I sold my other run around car a month ago so I can't really have this off the road too.

    Turbo oil drain sealant

The core is going to stay much cooler than the turbine housing so I'd still expect it to hold up ok but it appears not to be so I'm not going to waste any more time on using it. I thought I had a spare oem gasket but don't so looks like the car will be sat around until Monday hoping that...

    Turbo oil drain sealant

It's rated to withstand over 400 degrees C so I can't see how it is just the heat that is causing it.

    Turbo oil drain sealant

Thanks for the comments guys. Stacey- I have a similar flange to that which came with the card/paper gasket but I didn't want to use that for the same reasons Tuffty mentioned. Tuffty- I did try the oem one but quite possibly damaged it when opening the holes up to take the larger bolts. If your...
