My advice would be stick to a diesel. The S3 is a great car but with today's high running cost you will be selling it again within months. You will find market is limited for s3's when selling but very good for diesel A3s.

I thInk your under estimating here Snipe. Original S3 side skirts with all trims and fixings will set you back £1K painted and fitted. As for the cheap fibre glass ones... Keep away.

A complete set of the OEM ones will cost more than that. Last price I got from TPS was £680+ VAT. That does not include painting and fitting!
