Help please, wet foot well, due to blower motor

There was a recall on some B6s I think for the phenum chamber, which is the bit where the pollen filter sits, because the seals failed and it caused water in the footwell. Audi did the fix on mine automatically as part of the service a couple of years ago, Not sure if its what you are seeing but...

    Mysterious disappearing oil!?

I've got a different engine (3.0L) but the thoery might hold. I cured the same problem by clearing the crank case breathers which had become clogged. These are supposed to return the oil from the rocker box, so it caused excessive oil pressure in the head, forcing it out of the gaskets. I never...

Finally i think i know what is wrong with my car!!

I have to completely agree, my 3.0V6 was drinking the stuff, and misfiring, and if you took the oil filler cap off there was a powerful vacuum, and the misfiring got a lot worse. My local garage found it and blew out the breathers with an airline and it immediately improved, but the pipes were...

    2.5 TDi Quattro Flat spots

I had a B5 with this engine, and it did exactly this. It was the first symptom of the MAF failing, you eventually reach the point where there is a huge cloud of black smoke behind you, and no power. The test is to unplug the MAF, and see if things get worse, if they don't then the MAF isn't...

    3.0 V6 Quattro - Opinions & info needed

I've got a 51 plate A4 quattro sport with 3.0v6 They are certainly thirsty, I get about 23mpg average. I can get 35 out of it at 65 on an A road, but by the time you are up to 85 on a motorway, its back down to 25mpg. Probably similar to your 4motion. it gives 18mpg thrashing around town. I...

    glovebox Snapped!

One of my collegues who has a B7 as company car snapped his glove box. Reading Audi changed it for free, as they are seeing a lot of these breaking. Worth trying!?

    Engines Let go!

I had this with my previous A4. Dreaded oil sludge etc. I had a long email and phone conversation with Audi UK. Their line was and remained "There are no common issues with oil in Audi A4s in the United Kingdom that we are aware of." The contact I had was James O'Flynn at Audi UK Customer...

3.0 misfire problem - running out of ideas...

Its got 85000 on it. You are right about it being a low rpm issue. I will see if I can test the leakage. Thanks Andrew

3.0 misfire problem - running out of ideas...

I can see the misfire count going up on vagcom, but it doesn't go high enough to trip the misfire code, so no code is stored. It happens on all 6 cylinders.

3.0 misfire problem - running out of ideas...

Thanks for the suggestions. I have checked the coil packs and they seem OK. They were were fitted by Audi Camberley, and they look the same as the ones that came off, so I think they are right. Its just had its 80000 service too and that didn't highlight anything. The thing that puzzles me is...

3.0 misfire problem - running out of ideas...

Hi, I have a 2002 A4 quattro sport 3.0. It has had problems with misfires. Coil packs have been changed, so has the ignition wiring loom, as the coil pack connectors were cracked. This has improved it considerably, but still there are occasional random misfires. Not enough to trip the warning...
