Suggest you call your local dealer and ask if the oil pump is gear driven or chain driven.

PhilA4 - According to your VIN, looks like you have the later BLB with the spur gear. Suggest you double check with your local Audi dealer to make sure. Unlikely that the service history book will show any repair work. Warranty is worth considering depending on the small print.
