Auto levelling headlights - what have I broken...

So if a sensor breaks and needs replacing, there's nothing to do on the computer side? And the headlights are still at the right level because the sensors are all identical? Or you just adjust the manual adjustment screws to cancel out any difference in the new sensor? Just asking so I know...

Auto levelling headlights - what have I broken...

Is there not a laptop setting (ie an Adaptation or Basic Settings or something) to recalibrate the sensors. As in to learn their neutral position if you fit a new sensor? I'd assumed that there must be, but maybe not. Either way it shouldn't need doing unless a sensor had been replaced, so weird...

    Audi A3 2.0 TDI 150 service/maintenance schedule

The service book which came with the car has all the information. It's not got space for dealer stamps as that's all electronic (annoyingly), but it covers all models with the recommended intervals for everything. Did you get that with your car? Same size as the handbook, but MUCH thinner, and...

1.4 TFSI 150. Coolant leak. Pump or housing?

Thanks very much for posting that; I'd watched the thread to see what'd be involved if mine ever starts leaking! Did you manage to work out which bit was actually leaking once you'd taken it to bits?

[Problem] Headlight low beam not working

How strange!I guess the switch could output separate 12V signals for dipped and main on each side (used to be yellow and white wires, from memory, for older VW group cars), so 4 wires in total, and if one was missing then that light might turn off... And maybe if a computer realises that the...

[Problem] Headlight low beam not working

Is this xenon headlights, rather than LED or halogen, given you say the shutter is working? And you mean the bulb turns off when you swap to low beam, leaving that side totally dark?

EA211 1.4 TFSI Spark Plug Torque

I've just come across some SKODA info for a different version of the 1.4 EA211 engine, but looks basically identical to mine. It agrees with the SEAT info saying 22Nm

EA211 1.4 TFSI Spark Plug Torque

Thanks so much for taking the time to do that! 30Nm is what I used I did last time I changed them.

EA211 1.4 TFSI Spark Plug Torque

Interesting that that still says 30Nm. Thank you for posting it! From the pictures, I'm wondering if that's an earlier engine; the dipstick, coil packs and air intake ducting don't look quite like my EA211...

EA211 1.4 TFSI Spark Plug Torque

One last bump in case anyone has the current official Audi torque available before I change them in a couple of weeks' time? If not then I think I'll go with 22Nm, as that's what the SEAT document I found said, and it seems similar to other 12mm plugs in alloy heads. I'm increasingly thinking...

Is there a guide on changing Rear Discs on A3

I think those spline bolts for the carriers are meant to be single use too, so it's either buying 4 of them or 2 hub bolts (unless the spline ones come with a set of discs, I guess). Thanks for all the info - really appreciate it!

Is there a guide on changing Rear Discs on A3

That's kind of what I was picturing, and I can visualise the discs fouling on the hub as I've failed to tilt discs outwards for that reason before (front of my wife's old MINI needed the carrier off to get discs off). I just couldn't quite see why having the hub further out would make it better...

Is there a guide on changing Rear Discs on A3

I wonder which is less hassle?! That or the carrier (working on driveway, so no access for a breaker bar straight downwards for the carrier bolts). Annoying either way when a couple of mm difference in the shape of the carrier would make it a non-issue. I'm slightly struggling to get my head...

Is there a guide on changing Rear Discs on A3

What's involved in getting the bearing and hub off? Is that an easier way to do the discs than battling with the carrier holder bolts? Or just a different world of pain?!
