No don't have cruise control pal. Got it booked in at the garage Wednesday. Hope it's not a big thing just spent over £3k upgrading it to s3 would be soda law if I have to fork out loads on repairing it lol

Wouldn't a sensor usually show up on the dash? Also if it was the pedal any idea why it works when you touch the brake ?

Hello I'm having a problem with my a3. It's a 2009 tdi manual. When I'm driving it doesn't matter what year or how I'm driving every now and then and it's completely random could not happen or could happen 3 times in 20 minutes the accelerator just doesn't work and the Rev count drops to zero...
