28mpg average sounds about right for mixed driving I would reckon, I get around 23 - 25 with a lot of short journeys and a few longer not hanging about.

Agree, I get 300 miles to tank if im lucky, but mostly with a heavy right foot.

Not a Quattro, plastic fuel line from tank was rubbing onto chassis and wore it away to a leak, got it sorted £17 for the part and £83 labour, so am pretty happy its sorted now, garage has protected the new pipe by putting a foam jacket over it to prevent it happening again. Hope...

Same happened to me last night, was only half a mile from home. Got a new coil pack at dealers, replaced it 2 min job and all fine now, bought a spare to keep in the glove box aswell. So hopefully no more problems for a while.
