Nope, apart from two services I have not had to add any oil. Between my 9k services the mmi graph moves 1/4 at best. So in theory I could do nearly 40k before the low oil light comes on. Obviously I wouldn't do this but it appears this is a permanent fix so far.....

Agreed.. My thread two years ago had a massive response. (Engine rebuild at 68k) the fix in my opinion has worked very well and coming upto nearly 30k since the rebuild with 0% oil consumption. I probably won't have the car at 120+k which will be around the mileage it failed on the old Pistons...

The emergency plastic key has a immobiliser chip inside which is programmed to your car. In essence this is exactly the same as your normal key with out the remote locking. The adaptor is just a way to make the information fit in the key slot whilst not being a big bulk for the time it is not...

What diameter are the s3 tips? An a6 black edition had black tips and there is a PN for them. Just a thought if they are the same diameter. I have them on my a4 2.0tfsi avant
