I had the problem sorted with the ECU when it did the flashing thing on PRNDS, that's not the problem now, it had a noisy gearbox in the last month, i had it looked at when a couple of the warning lights came on, it was put on the VAGcom test where it diagnosed a problem with the actual gearbox...

Felt like burning the little sod due to busted gearbox with no idea if it is worth fixing it !

It is the 2.5tdi with autobox with the tiptronic thingy lol if that makes sense but as i had the ECU done for £900 in the summer it is slightly difficult letting it go for £1750 without asking you guys if there is any better option of getting another box put in it or if anyone knows of someone...

No worries, it is definitely the gearbox so i have no idea of whether to get it done or just let it go for like £1750 as it is

I had a problem last year with the autobox where it flashed PRDNS , i had that re-programmed to fix it but it has started again so it looks like i will have to buy the ecu which i think is around £800 !!!!! So if anyone knows of the best place to buy it , i will be very grateful !

CVT oil and filter ordered and being done on wednesday, hope that solves the glitch ! Will post back if it does the trick, thanks for all your advice peeps !

Many thanks for the advice, just seen that the gearbox takes nearly 8 litres of CVT oil ! WOW !

It is the 2.5 V6 diesel engine, multitronic with 114,000 miles on the clock. When it is driving it sometimes drives not smoothly, like when you barely touch the accelerator. Sometimes it drives fine. Many thanks
