EGR and DPF removed and mapped - thanks to Steve @ Lion Garage!

Hi Edd. Nice to meet you the other day. Glad you are happy with the removal. Yes and no. We see a lot of issues with G450's and keep one in stock as its so common. Its very simple to check plausability of the sensor by looking the measuring value in a KOEO situation. We do fit them (and...

A3 TDI 2005 juddering at idle

A very good friend of mine works at General motor company in Stockport. They are a very good VAG specialist. He's a really good guy and I dont think theres anyone who knows more about the VAG brands than Jon. They are well equiped and able to deal with anything VAG related. Link to their web...

4WD RR for: ECU Remap & DPF Removal with a Triptronic

I think you will find the reference to removing a fuse and the vehicle reverting to 2wd will only apply with Haldex equiped vehicles (A3, Golf quattro's) The system on an A4 is completely different. Auto on a rolling road is possible just a little harder to do. To be honest the 3.0 Tdi is such...

A3 TDI 2005 juddering at idle

Those figures are smooth running or cylinder balance adaptions. The ECU monitors Crank shaft speed via the crank angle sensor. If it see's any variation in crank shaft speed through its cycle of all 4 cylinders firing (720 degrees/2 rotations) it will identify which cylinders are working harder...

    Remove dpf & MOT

Hi Guys. Removal wise we will do whatever the customer requests. If a pipe is available we can supply and fit a removal pipe. We are actually running an offer on some performance parts in March, Some brief details can be found on our face book page and web site...

    Remove dpf & MOT

Check the fault codes and see what it says first. EGR sticking will cause DPF issues amoungst other things. By far the most common issue we see is an Implausible Particulate differential pressure sensor reading. Check the reading (I think its MVB 67 in VCDS, I dont tend to use the number system...

    Remove dpf & MOT

I'll check up on the numbers, I don’t know off the top of myhead. It does depend very much on what the customer wants. With most 170hp PD'swe find that they lack a little in low down power compared to the 140, so our most popular remap tendsto be concentrating on gaining an increase in low...

Hello there and a couple of easy questions to ask if I may?

Re mapped to 231 and it still has the DPF in place? Are you sure? Is it PD or Common rail, 57(08) could be either? Tunes usually have to be quite mild with DPF still in place for a number of reasons. That seems a big increase without removal. If the tune is too much then you may be at risk of...

    software update ahhhhhh

They are very hard to get updates out of. Many years ago before we had the facility to carry out software updates I wanted an update for a 1.6 petrol for an issue that was well documented for having a software fix. Even when I produced a TPi for the issue they would only book it in for...

    Remove dpf & MOT

Depends on the MAP. If you stick loads of fuel in you'll get smoke. Most the ones we have done have been really clean, with a careful map they can be clean. Think about a similar variant pre DPF and they all run pretty clean. Steve

    Remove dpf & MOT

I am an MOT tester and I also do a lot of DPF removals/tunes. It will be fine, Theres no requirement to physically have a DPF for MOT and, assuming the car is in good condition otherwise, is perfectly capable of passing the smoke test without the DPF in place. Most modern diesels hardly...
