I think its more that a lot of people are running different wheels to what was on the car originally.
The sticker only usually shows the size on the car originally and one or 2 other random sizes.
Edit: Oh mine are 225/40 R18 on an 8P2 Sportback 2.0TDI with DSG....dunno if the gearbox makes a...
See in the link you posted mike, down the bottom they have a picture of 4 different types of connector one of which is mine.
Unfortunately doesn't say which one is which :(
My ETKA 7.3 (update 916) shows the same, rev A, like you said. This is what I ordered but not what fits unfortunately...
Well hello hello :) Eventually got a RT VCDS cable (from Nigel) so I've been messing about with some changes already.
I'm not sure how to (or if I can) post attachments so here's a link to an .xls (Audi A3_VCDS Menus.xls 7.31MB) that I made earlier.
Basically its just to keep track of my...
Got my cable off Nigel the other day. Top man to deal with, delighted to have an original Ross-Tech cable eventually.
Been put to good use on my Yeti, the A3 and on my oul lads passat to diagnose the ABS issue he's been having.
Well recommended. Thanks Nigel!
I eventually got my finger out and ordered a new rear wiper motor and blades for front & back while I was at it.
The part that arrived was 8E9 955 711E as opposed to the ver. C that had clogged up with much from the leak inside it.
Its the bottom one in the pic below
I ended up using a ball...
How about these bad boys ;)
18er SMD LED Platine, c5w, weiss
I got these off them for the Yeti's DRLs which were a horrible faded yellow bulb, now they're a lovely white led drl.
They throw up a canbus error so you need to link the resistor pack supplied with them in line.
You could just buy...
Am I getting confused or not? The 8P uses 2x C5W Festoon bulbs for the rear plate.
I use the Philips Blue Vision LED C5W Festoon
They work perfect without any CANBUS problems and are good for interior use too. Fairly bright too.......not as bright as the sun like the ones Paulie put up ;)
Here's how I did it, getting the single din cage out was a pain in the hole but I eventually got it done. Just take your time.
I don't have a list of the prices here...I keep the all receipts in the service book in the car.
So after hexing myself by posting on here that my turbo was grannnnnnd ;) it went into limp mode again about 4 times in the space of a week (all overboost i.e. sticking vanes). Dropped it off last week and had turbo removed and sent off to Tom Cooney in portlaoise (best in Ireland for turbo...
Had the noise since I've owned my 2.0TDI 140 (for about 40,000 miles) and the turbo hasn't blown.
I've driven a few of the VW Golf and A3 2.0TDI 140s we have in the company car pool and they all have the same noise to varying degrees from low to higher noises. None of them have ever had turbos...
Well after getting all the parts together and getting some spare time to do it I did the single to double din conversion today.
I'm not going to bother with a how-to as there are plenty of them about the internet.
Here's all the bits
The hardest bits were taking the single din cage out and...
Forgot to ask about this too....
