I have HMDI on my laptop. to get the sound you have to enable the sound on the HDMI output. If running W7 then right click on the loud speaker in the task bar and then select playback options then select HDMI out. May be different for different systems but i get sound and picture through the TV...

I have used Chrome for several months now and really prefer it over IE (7 or 8). It provides pages much quicker and i have yet to have it hang like ie used to. To be fair to other users i have not really got into firefox which may well be better, but i would say that Chrome is vastly superior...
