Yes possibly. I was just told that they drain it even though the protocol says "Engine oil - suction". I've personally changed 2-3 times without removing drain plug with no issues, so to be on the safe side I will alternate the methods every other time, once draining and once extraction etc...

Correction here, the Audi S3 isn't permanent AWD? Otherwise I'm really confused. Can someone confirm this? The S3 uses a Haldex coupling where it is FWD biased from what I gather.

Hi. This is probably the most relevant thread to ask my question. It's about the plastic oil drain plug for my Audi S3 (8V) 2020. At the dealership I was told that the drain plug needs to be replaced even if I extract the oil from the top as the gasket that is on the plug/screw itself dries out...

About drive modes, If i am in economy mode and I suddenly feel racy on the highway, will the drive mode change if i throw the gear stick into manual? Also, is there engine braking when in manual mode? Does comfort mode change suspension at all? I don't see that (DCC) module when I go into...

@Neo17 I decided to give it another try whilst I just got back from shopping, and I guess as they say 3rd time is the charm! Tug and twist did it this time. Got it out and measured the oil level. I can finally feel a bit more relaxed haha. Thanks anyway.

Already did, tug and twist, didn't help. I've used the same dipstick in my previous car for 7.5 years. It was never like this.

I just bought an 8V 2020 S3, it seems like the dipstick is stuck! Don't want to pull too hard, does anyone know if something causes this to happen and what to do? In my previous Leon Cupra from 2016 I've never had a problem. It at least looks like it is the same dipstick. Any guidance appreaciated.
