Thanks for the answers, I decided to try a new battery in the remote but having got it apart I found I had not got a 3032 so I lifted the tongues a little and put it back together. The fob worked perfectly.

everything stays locked but once opened with the key it will lock but not unlock with the fob

Key fob on 2010 tt will lock the car but not unlock it , any ideas?
