I have this problem too on my S3. Started when the weather got cold, had nothing changed on the car around that time though. Set at 18 or above it continuously alternates between blowing hot and luke warm (which makes the car hot in the end). I'm switching between 18 and LO to control the...
Yeah true, but to be honest I don't really fancy stripping it all down etc and I will lose the option to take it back once I dismantle the new one.
I'm taking it back, will see if they have something that matches in stock but if not its off to the stealers.
It is a 3 bar pump, maybe not for 4WD, but the others listed for my car look exactly the same on the website (maybe stock photos though so I guess I'll have to go in to a branch or just get the audi ones). Also the one I got maybe just discounted right now, as the list price on the receipt is...
OK well at least they gave me one with the sender and wiring etc. Still unsure about this other pipe - seems it maybe going to another contraption on the other side of the tank, in which case I would assume it does need to be reconnected to any new pump?

Anyone know how would I find out who looks after this if I wanted to register or activate it?
Otherwise was considering disconnecting and removing it... though am a bit worried that might immobilise the car!
Removed my dash earlier and found this metal box sat behind, not attached in any way, just sitting there loose with some wires going to it from the loom.
When I typed the numbers into google, the only references I get are to a tracker device of some kind. Anyone know better? Never had any...
Thanks - you mean I just need to replace this hose and I'm good? i.e. this: hose
How easy is the job in terms of getting to the connecting point (which I couldn't even see when I was looking today)?
Changed the disc and pads on one of the rears earlier and noticed brake fluid leaking from the hose where it connects to the brake line. It seems I may have bent the connection point (the bit the hose connects to, don't know the correct term) during winding the piston back as it was exceedingly...
