Thanks the reply. Bank 1 is the easier side (US car passenger side) so that's good. I don't have to unbolt that metal coolant pipe that runs behind? So theoretically I don't have to drain the coolant out of the engine? I assumed I'd have to because I thought that coolant pipe had to come off...

Hey Jim, came across this thread and was wondering if you could give me some insight! I have a faulty cam adjuster solenoid on bank 1, and I have a replacement. I'm just looking to swap the solenoid, and was wondering how involved it is to do so...I know the valve cover and upper timing cover...
