That would be one of the last I think. I picked up my (then new) S4 in Sep 2015 and it was one of the last S4’s. Assume the A4’s ran on another few months?

Will be fine. It’s slightly buttock clenching watching it happen, but it basically just stops when it hits something. (Assuming that the allroad and the normal avant have the same mechanism!)

Shouldn’t be anything to worry about, will be a late model so basically you’re looking at condition and spec - all faults were ironed out by this point.
Simple thing at that kind of mileage would be tyres and brake pads, make sure it’s had a service etc.
They’re brilliant cars.

I hope you enjoy the car! I can highly recommend TC Garage in Copthorne - just up the A23. The other close specialist option is QS Tuning in Hayward’s Heath, but in my experience - they charge a ‘scene tax’ I.e they’re well known tuners and you end up paying more for everything.
I had a lot of...

It actually felt very similar in terms of outright punch. Also has a fairly flat torque curve so behaves in a similar way. I’m pretty sure that with a tune it would be a complete beast. Where it feels very different to the stage 2 b8 is at the top end where you can feel it’s been...
I’m sure you’ll enjoy it Gary. Hard to think of anything that could get close for the money.
I have 2 car seats in the back (my boys are 3 and 5). The eldest can do his own now which is great, and I’ve never had an issue with the seat belts.
I’ve only ever run it on 98 (which is recommended)...
It’s been just under 6 months with the golf now and other than the sat nav basically point blank refusing to work (gps is clearly broken but VW want the car for 3 days to take headlining out etc to fix and I can’t be bothered) I’ve been really impressed.
It’s biggest failing is that it’s just...
Evening! Been a while since I’ve popped in!
Great deal on the Seat and sounds like a good deal on the Golf R too.
Happy to share further thoughts of anyone wants now that I’m 6 months in.
Short answer is that I really miss my S4 though. [emoji30]

I tried all the recommendations on here and Sky and Greenlight were the only ones who would cover me. FYI - this was on an A6 with the 3.0tfsi engine, so gains were actually greater than my previous S4 making it even harder.

I used Sky Insurance - very reasonable price - but with high admin fees for cancelling policy as I found out after changing the car 6 months into it!
Depending on the value of the car, it's worth looking at Greenlight too. (Think they have an upper limit of £20k or something)
I tried loads and...
Worth being aware that a lot of places won't cover you at all unless you have some history with performance cars. I was asked for car history over the last few years by a few. A plan were great - but wouldn't cover me as I couldn't show enough recent history in quick stuff.

You need to speak to a specialist broker. Most places really don't like insuring you with any gains over 100bhp. Try Sky, Chris Knott, Greenlight, Flux
Seems to vary on who will cover what.
It was definitely a challenge finding anyone who was willing to cover it! A couple said that they...
