S3 Reviews...a collection

As I think I mentioned earlier there is a 8 page review of an S3 quattro manual in the January issue of the magazine Audi Driver published by AutoMetrix Publications (AutoMetrix Publications). The magazine is monthly and has a lot of articles and other general information about Audi in the UK sometimes with detailed explanations related to different Audi engines and other components and systems.

Each individual magazine cost £4.25 but have mine on a £33.00/year subscription (£2.75 per copy) delivered by post before it's in the shops. I understand it is also now available for the PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Android device including the Kindle Fire, Windows 8 device and Blackberry Playbook via www.pocketmags.com.

Another very positive review from Downunder of a White DSG S-tronic SB with optional Aussie "Performance Pack" (the Age is one of Australia's leading newspapers similar to the Guardian). Enjoy!

Translated review of the S3 Sedan VS CLA 45 AMG

Google Translate

Interesting and typically German detailed review. What was interesting wasn't that the S3 came out in top, as it isn't the first time this has happened, but that it also won the engine and performance section posting an identical 0-200kph time! What is the extra 60hp in the Merc doing!?

I'd say its the torque limiter on the transmission of the CLA that's diluting its potential, but its fantastic to see the S3 punching above its weight. The RS3/S3 Plus is going to be epic, perhaps it'll redefine the category of hot hatch to super hatch, first sub 4 second hatch?

Wow. That's not even close is it?!

Just shows you that in less than perfect road conditions, which is most of the time in the real world, the S3 is faster. Only on a perfect baking hot track does the BM edge ahead, and who cares about that...

Seems to me that any reviewer looking between a 135i and a S3 as a real world, everyday car (Which is exactly what both are) is deeming the S3 as the winner, but the ones who spout on about drivers cars having to have RWD like the 135i better, but with a lot less logic behind it.

I've been in a 135i, it must drive absolutely amazingly because the interior is in a totally different league to the Audis, and by Christ it's ugly.
