I forgot to mention earlier, down pipes will be available as well, for anyone who may be interested. please let me know, if there is enough demand i will try to get us a coupon code for them.

all the details were on that thread, however

Competition:
$519.78 (USD) w/ Free FedEx Shipping (Contiguous 48 States)

Street:
$526.35 (USD) w/ Free FedEx Shipping (Contiguous 48 States)

you would have to work out shipping costs with the vendor to ship to UK. those prices are only including shipping for the states.

With something as pricey as an exhaust/downpipe and it would pretty pointless to buy form the USA. Once your Import Duty and shipping have been paid those prices will be MUCH higher!
When people over here can get quality exhausts at a good discount such as with the MV Sport locally, I dont think there going to be many takers from here

Alright no worries, just wanted to share. noone is obligated to buy.

Canadian buyers do not have any of these issues No Duty, Customs or Brokerage fees...

We do not have many options in the states (for exhausts for a3), I do not know the situation across the pond, so I apologize if this was a waste of space.

In any event it is open to all, of course please check with the mfg if this makes sense financially for out of country purchases.

There are loads of 2.0TFSI exhaust options over here, but if the exchange rate and shipping was right it may be a deal for some one. thanks for sharing anyway.

exchange is in your favour currently even with the euro and sterling dropping lately. however the problem would potentially be with customs fees and or shipping.

Sorry, it's exactly the opposite situation! Sterling is about as weak against the dollar as it has been, with 1.462 being the figure on my screen right now. Buying from the States made sense when the exchange rate was over 2 USD to 1 GBP, but right now Sterling is worthless.

The only good news is the Euro is starting to become even more worthless (bad news for exporting admittedly).

i have 1.46gbp on my screen as well, thats still a nice premium over the dollar. imo. on the other hand i dont mind the euro taking dump, because i do a great deal of purchases from euro vendors and .de so now it is slowly turning our favour... in any event this wasnt a discussion of currency or geo-political issues... i simply wanted to share this with the fellow enthusiasts here...

I agree this thread was more about exhausts than exchange rates, but just couldn't disagree more. Sterling is undervalued right now, and the US Dollar is relatively high. UK imports are costing far far more than they usually would do, as Far East imports are usually transacted in USD. It's a terrible time to be buying stuff from the US, and that point I believe was relevant.

Stock weight of the 3.2Q exhaust weighed in at ~38lbs. I did not weigh the MF System (R32 version weighs in at 31lbs for sport 26lbs for touring). Hopefully someone can weigh the A3 MF System before they install.

Better videos to come, these were done very quickly and they are not very good quality.

Magnaflow exhausts are very good and are recommended by HPA for their turbo kits. The exchange rate isn`t very good at the moment plus if you cannot bypass paying VAT ( 17.5% ) plus import tax then there is shipping all the way from America they do work out very expensive. There are Magnaflow exhaust dealers here in the uk like nemesis performance. I am not attacking the original post but just pointing out that unless you can by pass import tax and VAT t it works out a lot cheaper to just source stuff from the UK.

i understand, it is an issue with EU purchases, just thought i would share in case anyone here was still interested OR possible were US members who come on here to see what the guys across the pond are doing...
