After four week's of waiting for the Exhaust and the 200cell cat to arrive from Awesome gti, and the mix up with the tail pipe's which they had to send direct to Bill / Badger5 first thing on Friday . I set out from South Wales to Bill's work shop which is based in Gloucesterhire.

On arriving Bill and myself unwraped the new stainless exhaust and raised the car up on the lift to see what was what. Bill asked me if the fitting kit had a new gasket to replace the old one. No was the answer , (the first of many problem's ). Bill made a phone call and within the hour a new gasket was delivered.

As many of you already know getting to the three stud's which hold the cat onto the turbo are a pain to get to, so out come the air box along with associated gumpf . After a few crack's of the spanner Bill and another member of his team had the whole system off in one hit.

The factory system was a very heavy compared the the stainless exhaust.

Two large holes need filling.

After the dry fit it was time to fiddle with the 3.5" tail trim's to get them sitting/looking wright before final fix, at this point Bill said when a full stainless steel system is hot it will expand a full 1" and the tail trim's will poke out a little so he adjusted them to compensate.

I may adjust the trim's again once the exhaust has settled in.

Bill then said we will take the car for a spin and log some data as Bill remaped the car for me in January and wanted to check the log's with the new cat/exhaust.

Nice and hot . Bill gave the thumb's after looking at the log's and all was well. (engine wise). Bill and the lad's are first class and go that extra mile to make sure everything is spot on. I will back down there very soon to have some more work done .

The car feel's good with the new system and at 70mph there is not much noise and is very much like the factory system at cruising speed's.

Cheers QJ . I see that you want to do a twin pipe conversion on your car, I still have the factory exhaust if you are in need of it.

Thanks, but the 2.5 has the exhaust in place, I just need the valance and tail pipes.

What sort of power is yours putting out now?

I have no idea at the moment, i going to have to put it onto a rolling road. The stage1 map and the 200cell cat are thing's i felt the car needed after chating to Badger5 and ASN member's at event's and meet's. People will alway's say the cat and remap will give XXXX amount of power but i have no idea at the moment......... Car feel's good, i'm just saving for a better clutch now so i can get the car logged as i'm getting a small amount slip when in high boost. Badger5 will log the car when the clutch is added.

Nice mod!
Which system did you go for?

Cheers J7USS. I went with Awesome Gti They offered a group buy 25% off deal with Blueflame system and 200 cell cat.

Sounds good and bet it saved you a shed load over the Miltek. Good buy mate!
With the sports CAT you can defo tell a difference cant you, especially with the Torque, mine seems to be dead smoother through rev range and the torque is a load sharper.

I had a bluflame turbo back on my ibiza cupra. the best £300 i spent on it to be honest. the quality was superp and fitted better than the oem one.
