Last ditch - AJQ head / engines compatible with loom?

Hi,

Does anybody know where I source an 1.8 AJQ head or let me know compatible engine codes? Was offered an AEB but can't google this information anywhere!

P.S: Sorry to be a 'leech', you guys have been a great help so far - I never heard of 'ribe' bolts before

AEB is a longitudinal variant with an external water pump. This is no good for the A3 chassis as we have transverse mount.

Can I ask what for? Might help me give you a reasonable answer.

It's for an Audi A3 1.8T Quattro (W / 2000). Good thing I didn't buy the AEB - cheers!

the only differences are large port, and small port in the actual castings, the addition parts like the VVT and etc are bolt ons.

You need a BAM,APX,APU ARY,BEX head or at a push an AEB or AGU or even ADR but you wont be able to take advantage of the large ports due to you having small port manis.

The water pump has no bearing on this, neithe does the direction of the engine
All those codes make my head hurt !

Actually this is the very same large port head I have for my car.... all 1.8t heads will fit but you may have to swap some bits over and in the case of my AEB head machine a little off where the tensioner roller bolts in...
