Comfort turn Signals - Increase number of indicator flashes

Just wondering if there is a way to increase the number of indicator flashes you get when you tap the indicator stalk. I'd prefer an extra couple of flashes over the three you get.

Had a look in vagcom but can only find the option of turning them on/off.

Anyone help??

Not one that I know of mate as I wanted it myself, but when weather improves will have another look, thing is with the newer cars namely my10 there are more options being added to the DIS features to be controlled by the users, think its there cheap way of getting MMI style options in a crap small cluster if you get me, why they didnt just add it to the new rns-e my10 cars aswell, under the CAR menu's defies me, its pretty crap in DIS overall.

On the B8 A4 (with Stop Start) then this works. Not sure if it's tranferable but it's maybe worth a look :

Gonna check the label file as it had to be an adaptation on newer cars, mines an 09 cluster so maybe I have already, if result then thanks in advance, if not then nothing ventured nothing gained huh

Label file isnt showing anything atm, need to check a MY10 car, cause also on these the new headlight switch is fitted with sprung loaded on/off instead of the push forward into position & stays until pulled back, which I wanted to fit but they have removed the steering angle sensor, so didnt work on mine as yet, watch this space.

Enabling the efficiency program without actually having the necessary hardware for it is IMHO totally worthless but I'd appreciate if somebody would enlighten me why one would want to do so.

When it comes to changing the Number of Comfort Turn Signals, this wasn't possible prior to MY 2010, as of now with the new BCM the setting can be found in Adaptation of the named module.... so what you need to do is...

VCDS > Select > 09 - Central Electronics > Adaptation - 10 > Channel 31

FYI: Label Files for some of the stuff is encrypted these days, so you may not be able to actually check into those files offline.

Well I've upgraded some parts Sebastian, which is why I always like to look & test things to find out how they work & what modules they work from.

I like new options on my car, expensive hobby but hey, better than sucking on a cancer stick, ******* it down the toilet or sucking it up your nose huh, lol.

I have got the 30 byte highend & there is an option for coming home logic old/new, do you know what this does as yet & also the newer headlights stalk is sprung loaded, does this also depend on the 09 module or is this to do with the steering ecu as I have the newer steering ecu & stalk but cant see any coding for this to work, where as older pre MY10 all had the push forward into locked position for high beam.

Also nobody is enabling options they dont have cause the label file should only show the relevant options for that particular module surely, so there wont be an option to enable if the files dont have this present for the said cars module version.

Are they encrypted mate as I have been able to open them all fine.

Firstly, apologies for putting it in this thread. I thought I was elsewhere!

As for why, the DIS information can be useful if you're in the mind to save fuel ... even if you don't have Start Stop. i.e. it shows want ancillary devices are using the most fuel (A/C, rear window etc) plus theirs improved mpg pages and an enhanced recommended gear page.

It's not compulsory so if you don't want to then don't...but some might.

Have you or a dealer been changing coding on the car with vagcom?

Do you have vagcom as you will need to enable it in long coding.

My name is Mauro my city is located in Livorno, Tuscany (central Italy) possess an MY2010 A4 Avant.
At the Centr. 09 -> Byte 02 -> Bit 1 I (Daytime running lights by front side marker lights active) and I have not found in any other Bytes of the Centr. 09 (Comfort Turn Signals).
Many descriptions have not Bite Bit ...
I'm probably other functions in activating this option, but I can not figure out where ...

Ah ok, the original person who started the thread has an 8P, so I natirally thought you had an 8P A3.

Just look for the setting comfort turn signals in your speedometer digital menus or in vagcom.

Yes, but probably not on the A4 B8 8K, it does not work ...

Well! after several attempts to reset all settings, not gains no positive result, I went in the ECU 46 -> [adaptation 10] and I did a simple thing, I saved the "channel 0" (without changing anything) and like magic the three arrows and flashing back to work ...
Now I ask you, why?
