Hi i have a 2.0 tdi 140bhp and some time in the future i will be hoping to get a remap.
Was just wondering what effect this has on the clutch? can a standard clutch take that much torque?
I used to drive a seat ibiza cupra tdi and standard clutchs cant handle the increase in torque.
Also i've heard about angel tuning, that they offer a remap for £170? Is it to good to be true? anyone had any experience with them?
Thanks

the remap on a 143 will only be about 35-40bhp without further mods.....which brings it up to what a standard 170bhp is.They use the same transmission so no probs. My 170 is mpped to 200, but could go to 230 if i removed the dpf.The differance is amazing in low speed torque, and top end.I still get pushed into my seat at 80 in sixth.Check my sig for a remap, twice the price but well worth it.Its personal to the engine, not a standard one map fits all.

can you actually remove the DPF without it causing problems or affecting the emissions?

john who did yours ? and what price ? is yours 2 wheel drive

Dazmo, yes you can.Replaced with a pipe and a tweak of the ecu.

Ok mate what pipe is that and is it a big job to have it physically removed and replaced with a pipe?

I have found a company which will do the ECU for me and will deleted the DPF and also remap the car for £325, i just need to know how to have the DPF physically removed and what to replace it with?

john ive emailed them will let you know price they quote

£325 all inc but emailed about that pipe being moved also had a price from Angel Tuning £275
