Hi guys needed to purchase some material so that i can refurb my s3's seats, i have blue alcantara suede recaro seats, so just want to refurbish the drivers seat as all the others are in good condition. Can anyone advise where a metre can be purchased from?

That's a really good useful item, saw one of these at a valeting place. No really its got a small hole getting bigger, and it was due to the bubbling, but now it looks really tacky so i think the front layer of the suede only on the side which you put your back onto is affected, so i believe this would be a good idea. Do you know where i could a get a metre from???

Audi do the complete cover IIRC... its listed in ETKA anyways... When I bought my S3 the drivers seat was awful but it got me a nice sum off the asking price... I looked into recovering (about £1000 for both seats) or replacing with a VAG sourced part... I think the replacement bottom part of the seat was about £250/£300 which included the alcantara and the leather bolsters of the bottom part of the seat.

Worth an ask tbh but any half decent upholsterer should be able to get something close else but I doubt it will be any cheaper...

Sorry for hijacking, didnt think it would be worth starting another thread similar to this.
Wondering if you can get the same material as the roof and A pillar lining so I can wrap my gauge pod.

I looked into this for mine and other than sourcing another headlining to use the material from I couldn't find anything that matched colour wise and would look good... I even tried charcoal grey and black speaker cloth (mesh type) which pattern wise is close but I couldn't get it to form right over the pod to look neat and I consider myself fairly handy as a trimmer having built large car stereo systems in the past including custom door builds etc so I just painted a flat black and more than happy with the result.

The cloth would need to have a backing of some description to make it easier to work with and prevent glue from seeping through ruining the finish.. the speaker cloth would have just soaked the glue up or if you left the glue to go off a bit wouldn't have the adhesion strength to keep the shape of the pod after a few weeks in the sun.... I have had to retrim stuff again due to that little gem!!!

well alcantara have these guys as an offical stockist : http://www.ukhide.co.uk/

if its just the material you want might be worth a try. I spent hours cleaning mine last night and they have come up brilliantly, just some debobbling on the drivers seat required now
