what colour to respray, opinions please

hi all,

Okay the car is going to have a full respray, only problem is theres so many nice colours its hard to pick 1 to settle with.

I was thinking candy white with some nice 18" gloss black rs4 alloys.

Whatya think. Also lowered 40mm???

Whats your opinions on that.

Also does a s3 rear bumper fit directly on my a3. Its a pre-facelift 1.8 t quattro

id stick with the original base colour as otherwise engine bay inner wheel arches etc will still be original colour. if your cars black then bonous go for anything.

really though its your car so do it how you want it not how we want it to look, maybe give us some options on which colours you like

arctic white for me. then get gloss black for the black plastique parts on it...like the mirrors and the plastique on the rear bumper and front one too.
my car is silver and i got those in glossy black and i think it looks nice...i cant upload the pictures donno why

Not many white examples of an A/S3 to be honest mate, as for body kits, I wouldnt bother, the subtle look is one to go for, unless you are going for the S3 look, however I would just keep it simple......

Yea I didnt like the look of any of the kits out there so I went the S3 look, I managed to find a few white S3's online when i was looking but there aren't many

Im not sure if that will help as i dont know the colour codes they are just random cars i have found while looking

Nono, not talking about Kev, there was another 8L S3 owner in liquid yellow at GTI Spring Festival, I think he wasn't too happy to see another S3 in the same colour, they was parked pretty close to each other too on the day.

White is the way to go, if I had the choice I would go for the TTRS white as it stands out more, and would proababily cost less than the metalic finish.

yeah he joined the forum as he was so pi55ed but got pm'ing and he has chilled i no how he was feeling as i to was annoyed, never knew there was another liquid s3 already but hey ho.

I think he self deleted that one Kev, wasn't happy that there was a copycat amongst us on the forum to his unique idea, but obviously your PM's changed his opinion?

yeah he was under the impression i had copied him but i had'nt ever seen his car untill the day before i went to pick my car up thanks to sandip sending me a link to his car so i to was gutted. so a few pm's later he realised i had deciced on the colour of my own back and not copied him so he was ok at the end plus each car is styled differently so not a massive problem.

said he had his done for 4 years, but his car started out grey

Depends what sort of "look" your going for with the car mate. Personally I'd go with Audi Sepang blue, its the colour most of the TT RS press cars were done in, having a bit of bother uploading pics but google it if you wana look.
