A3 S-Line Diffuser on 05 S=Line...

Right, just been looking on here to find the answer to my question but cant find a specific yes or no.
I have a 2005 S-Line (see pic below) with the sport style bumpers as the S-Line bumpers didnt come in until 06 i believe.
My question is, can i just swap the diffuser/valance (whar ever you want to call it) from the one in the picture below which i currently have to the 06 onwards S-Line diffuser/valance?
I.e is it a direct swap or do i need the 06 onwards S-Line rear bumper?

I am in the process of converting my 05 S-Line to the face lift 06 version S-Line and bumpers, i believe you have to change the whole rear bumper and not just the diffuser like you have.. The bumper isn't expensive second hand, they do crop up on ebay, you have the expensive part, the diffuser.

Yeah ideally you need the bumper for it to look perfect but it can be fitted to the older bumper, it just needs some if the clips trimming to make it fit! A few people on here have managed it

Hi mate sounds sorry for hi jacking but please could you post some pics of your car or send me the one from the front, I've got a silver a3 and in the process of sorting a black grill, I have no idea how it would look tho lol! Thanks man

warrenlord, heres a pic from the front, I've got Lamin-X tints on their way from the USA for the headhights, once their one it'll look loooads better.

It's an audi grill, not cheap but wanted to stay OEM. I'll dig all the part numbers out tomorrow if you want them.
I took the bumper off to fit the grill.

Yeah please mate, looks really good but guess it would being oem, so did you buy the whole big grill or just the surround which was chrome? As the centre look black.

I got the whole grill, Part Numbers:

Black Optics Grille - 8P4 853 651 DV MZ - £123.91

S-Line Grill Badge - 4F0 853 736 A2 ZZ - £15.81

By no means cheap, but it looks awesome!
