245/35/18? Ronal wheels

Hi people,

Think I may have just bought a set of 18" Ronal wheels off an A8. Been after some for ages now, so thought I'd put an offer in (not thinking they'd accept, but did). Recent re-furb too.

My question is, they have 245/35/18 tyres on them. Will they fit on my A4, or will I need some thinner tyres?

Also, Will I need spacers? Sorry, not sure on the offset of the wheels.

Hard to say before you can confirm the offset, but i am 90% sure you will need thinner tyres and some small spacers to clear the suspension, depending if you have quattro or not

Ok, It's only a FWD unfortunately. Have just found the offset... They are +48.

I had to run 10mm on the rear of mine with them on... and I was running 215/40's too (my favourite size!)

Right, that sounds good! Did you have a set of these wheels, or just some of same size? If you had a set of these wheels, can you post a piccy please?

Does this also mean I could run her as low as yours with 215's!?

I have no pics of mine on the Ronals as I only ran them a week before someone bought them off me (as it usually goes!), but I did run the exact same rims. Joss on here also has/had some on his Silver motor and was running quite low too.

I'm running 18" A8 monos at the moment with (I think) the same dimensions as the Ronals... so as long as you run 10mm rears and have coilovers, you should be able to scrape the ground like I do! lol

Awesome! Thanks for your help! Just one question... Have you tinted your headlights slightly? Just they look slightly blue in some pics.

My headlights were tinted with Blue Optic Lamin-x film. They're now tinted with Gun Smoke Lamin-x instead. :icon_thumright: I'm liking the darker non-blue stuff at the moment, but may return to the Blue next year.

The Fat5's were sold in favour of the monos. There's plenty of sets for sale on Edition of both the Fat5 and mono variety! The guy I bought mine off is flooding the market with them at the moment. I think he has a handy Eastern European source for them... Grrrr! lol

Film eh... I've been looking at the sprays, been worried about the finish. That does look pretty neat as it is now! I like the headlights more than I would have thought.

The bonnet bra was from Autobra. Just Google them and you're off!

I originally bought mine to hide the dents the original bonnet had. Managed to replace that now, but still like running the bra.
